20 ActiveSync Mailboxes Package for a yearly subscription
The Exchange ActiveSync for MailEnable module provides a premium solution for accessing mail, contacts, folders, tasks, and calendars on mobile devices. Having licensed the ActiveSync protocol from Microsoft, MailEnable is able to provide the same connectivity that is available through Microsoft Exchange.
ActiveSync provides the highest level of integration for the latest mobile devices including iPhone/iPad, Android and Windows Phone 7. It is also available on most other mobile platforms.
ActiveSync is able to negotiate changes and updates protocol uses a technology that is often referred to as "Push". The "push" technology means that changes that are made on the mobile device are synchronized with the MailEnable server (and vice-versa) without requiring polling.
ActiveSync is also a very efficient protocol and minimizes the amount of data that is sent over the mobile network.
MailEnable provides other protocols like CalDAV, CardDAV, SyncML and IMAP and these protocols can be configured to provide a similar experience to ActiveSync.
Unfortunately, these protocols do not integrate together to provide the same experience as ActiveSync and require the configuration of multiple accounts on the mobile device.
In most configurations, the protocols are not able to provide the same end user experience on the device.
ActiveSync, on the other hand, uses a single account to provide access to rich messaging (Messages, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Folders, etc) without needing to configure different services.
ActiveSync can be evaluated for a period of 30 days. A deployment guide is available to assist you with the evaluation process. (More Information).
Whilst the module is distributed in these versions, to use it requires obtaining a separate license, and this is done using the ActiveSync Management application under the MailEnable program group.
ActiveSync is licensed as a yearly subscription and MailEnable has ensured that this is priced well below competitive solutions.
MailEnable allows customers to enable ActiveSync to only the mailboxes/postoffices that require the functionality. Specifically, post offices can be issued usage quotas, and usage can be controlled at a mailbox level.
Exchange ActiveSync for MailEnable provides out-of-the-box synchronization for iOS devices (iPhone/iPad/iPod), Android Devices, Windows Phones, and other Exchange ActiveSync compatible clients. No additional software installation is required.
